Ascent Trip ReportWe really wanted to do this climb with the kids, but it did not start very well - quite windy and pouring rain as we made our way up from the parking in Threlkeld. However, the rain stopped as we started to scramble and we followed the lifting clouds up towards the summit. A bit slippery due to the rain, so I kept Karl (almost seven) tied into the rope all the time. He and his bigger brother did really great, though, and it gave them a boost passing a group of adults who were struggling the ridge. ;-)
Unfortunately, I forgot my watch home in Surrey so no GPS-track this time. ;-( |
