Ascent Trip ReportFollowed the directions on SummitPost, using the trail head from the US-219 in WV, which is a logging road that takes off from the sharp curve, about 100 meters north of the Maryland High Point sign. On the way up, I met some West Virginia Univ geologist who informed me that 95% of the hike is actually in WV. I also met a couple from NY, who I had seen the evening before at the PA State high point. I saw them later in the day as well at the WV high point. |
