Ascent Trip ReportNext up on my list of odds and ends was Peak 7758, aka "Dumbo." After making the short drive from Lovers Leap campground, I nabbed the last legal parking space in the upper lot at Echo Lakes.
Took the trail to the Tahoe overlook and then followed a well-defined use trail along the ridge. Hiked past a weather station and then negotiated some large rocks and deadfall before reaching the class 3 summit boulder. After changing into rock shoes, I used a large crack in the boulder to gain a few feet of elevation so that I could straddle the rock and hoist myself to the top.
1.4 miles RT; 450 feet gain. 1h25
