Ascent Trip ReportFrom NC 24/27/73 I turned north onto Valley Dr, CR 1720, and continued for several miles before turning right onto Morrow Mountain Road. At both turns there are Morrow Mountain State Park signs. At the fork inside the park I bore right and continued to the end of the road which ends at overlooks and parking lots. I walked the short distance up to the summit area between Shelter A and the restroom. Located the triangulation station disk and the two reference markers for Morrow.
Easy drive up with nearly 360 views. |
