Ascent Trip Report

Made an easy ascent difficult by choosing a chute that led to the low point of the ridge -- a bit spicier than expected. The first half was ok but the last 100' were quite exciting. What looked good below was loose rock embedded in dirt making for very careful moves. Patrick chose to wisely turn around (thereby sacrificing the summit because of impending weather) while I pushed on through one difficulty after another. The final crux was a chock stone blocking the gully I was in -- a very exposed outside corner with poor footholds was my only exit option. I was able to pull my pack through a small keyhole next to the chockstone. The rest was trivial including the rather easy descent via the Glacier Notch.
