Ascent Trip Report

Nice hike. Got to the trailhead early along with a few others and spent about 6.5 hours climbing over Hancock and then completing the loop to South Hancock. Very easy terrain for the first few miles, slowing increasing with a few rocks to climb over here and there. The most intense portion of the trail was the last 0.7 mi to the top of Mount Hancock and then the 0.5 mile down from South Hancock.

We went up North and down South. North had quite a bit of loose rock that you had to "skate" over as you were going up. While there was some of this on South coming down there wasn't nearly as much, making it easier to descend South rather than North.

Nice outlooks available from each summit.
