Ascent Trip ReportWith Eva.
Started at the 'Historic Donner Pass Summit' at the reasonably sized car park.
Shortly after there picked up the Pacific Crest Trail and followed it as it zig-zagged it's way up through the rock before taking the Mt Judah Loop trail at the first opportunity.
Donner Peak was a small detour of the main trail but only required a short extra ascent, the final climb to the summit was an enjoyable easy scramble on some rock tors. Summit was quite an airy place and offered some fine views. The only downer was the abundance of bloody wasps at the top which meant we did not linger.
From Donner we continued the Mt Judah loop before returning to the car.
