Ascent Trip ReportHaving found an excellent use-trail leading out of the lower Treasure Lakes basin, I was lulled into thinking this would be a straightforward hike. However, when the use-trail petered out soon after, we came upon a seemingly endless scramble over talus blocks and car-sized boulders to the base of Mt. Johnson. This took a long time -- several hours of very slow going. By the time we reached the highest of the Treasure Lakes, we were spent, and it was too late to attempt the remaining 850' to summit. Decided to turn back, saving energy for the return scramble through the talus.
