Ascent of Roundtop on 2016-09-01
|Date:||Thursday, September 1, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4787 ft / 1459 m|
Ascent Trip ReportVery straight forward.
Start at the Mt. Baldy trail head, but right away took the left trail up the old closed road trail rather than the trail up Baldy. You can take the standard trail if you want to get in a little more elevation. After a few hundred yards you'll reach a small lake and old cabin. Take a right and follow the trail up the valley. Once at the head of the valley stay right to avoid swampy terrain and contour around crossing Little Peters Creek. From there just head up one of the grassy slopes to the top.
