Ascent Trip Report

Came from SR 128 west and turned down Indiana Street and the relief was obvious so I drove down to a turn out net to the wildlife area and not too far from the creek. I hiked down to the creek to start my trailhead and then walked the road shoulder up the HP. There were large critter crossings under the road along the way. I saw several deer. The grassy rolling terrain and front range mountains in the background were nice and hiking along a wildlife corridor is nice BUT the heavy traffic noise along the journey and pesky rain brought by overall CHP experience rating for the day down to a 3.
