Ascent Trip ReportMihai Giurgiulescu's report of 2016-02-27 (http://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=624523) is really all you need to know. It's pretty perfect with one exception.=: The two barded wire gates mentioned each can be easily opened and closed. No need for hopping or crawling. Just be sure to reclose them.
We did this on a cool midsummer's morning, starting at just before 4 am, and ending just after 8:30. It was just past full moon, and we never turned on our headlamps. We bagged Boardman North first, just as daylight was exceeding the moonlight, then Boardman, after which we saw a beautiful sunrise, then N. Mocho and finally Mocho, the latter two from Mocho Saddle. The time you might save cutting up from the main road will be negligible, as each of these is 15-20 minutes roundtrip from the saddle. There are two low barbed wire fences to be negotiated on North Mocho, both easily hoppable.
One last note: The ranch roads are clearly well-cared for and at least partially active. There is a hunting club sign-in near the beginning of the route, and three hunters had signed in the previous day.
