Ascent Trip Report

I had a three-hour layover in ATL on a Saturday morning, and it took me an hour to bag this COHP from the time I arrived at Gate A7 to the time I returned to my departure gate, B22. (It might take a few minutes longer from the most distant gates). Follow the signs to Baggage Claim and then to Rental Cars, which will lead you to the Skyway (free). The first stop is the Georgia International Convention Center. Take the elevator to street level and follow the sidewalks around the Marriott up to the GICC entrance on US29. The high ground in the median is probably not natural, so don't neglect the wooded patches on both sides of the entrance road. I don't think it is necessary to cross US29--anything between the road and the railroad cut is not natural, either.
