Ascent Trip Report

I camped at Sandrivier about 2.5km for Stone Cottage. Apparently most people park at Stone Cottage, which is at the base of Seweweekspoort Peak. I started in a not-so-steep south-western direction following a stream. The idea was to reach the ridge to the west and walk to the summit. This route took me over several other 'peaks' and a very steep ridge, resulting in several unnecessary ups and downs. A clear line was not visible from the bottom. The route down, however, was easier to determine. This meant a scramble directly down to Stone Cottage in a third of the time. The rock formation generally is very brittle.
