Ascent Trip Report

Warner Forest is land donated by Stephen Warner in 1981 to the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests as a gift for public enjoyment. He called the property "High Blue" for its striking upland views to east and west. On a tree trunk here, the "High Blue 1,588'" elevation sign marks a steep hillside clearing to views out over the Connecticut River Valley with the Green Mountains beyond, with seating it is a most peaceful, refreshing stop. <... from Nature Walks in Southern New Hampshire: An AMC Nature Walks Book by Julia Older & Steve Sherman>
