Ascent Trip ReportBill Schuler's trip report will get you there. One minor correction: the road he labels as US-27N is now signed as Old 27.
I parked where Bill did, where there is now a 4-way intersection. There is a dirt road that goes west to the ridge crest, but there was a good deal of loose sand in it, and I didn't want to risk getting stuck, so I walked it. Just past the ridge crest is an gated road going left (south), and a short distance down this road is a large communications tower off to the right (west). Where the road widens out on that side appears to be the highest spot in the area, but you'll want to wander around a bit more to satisfy yourself that you've actually stood on the high ground.
