Ascent Trip ReportLeave the trail at the large gully/slide area on the west slope of the objective peak. The travel is steep and sections are bushy in places. You are aiming for the small ridge saddle just north of the "W" in "Wilderness" on the map. Go to the highest reach of the steep meadow. About 100 ft below this saddle it gets real steep and you may want to find a way to slither up the thick tree's right next to the rocky outcrop on your left. At this saddle you are blocked from viewing the summit area by a ridge pinnacle to your immediate right. Drop down a short distance on the east side of the ridge and head towards the summit area on a nice game trail. Once at the edge of the final summit knob you can ascend the sharp tree choked corner to the summit proper. It is tricky at the start and can be exposed. We stayed on the right hand side when forced to do so. Don't underestimate the difficulties and time it will take on this peak. It may be easier with snow covering the steep meadows and filling in some of the steps you may encounter along the way.
