Ascent Trip ReportSan Gorgonio, Big Horn, and Dragon's Head loop. Used Vivian Creek Trail and hiked the trail the whole way to San Gorgonio Summit. This is not the way I would prefer to reach the summit as the trail is filled with hundreds of tourist hikers who have no trail etiquette and move in packs of 15 or more and have never even heard of the other peaks on this mountain block. However, we moved from the summit down a southwestern gully to the Tarn and up to Big Horn Peak and then onto Dragon's Head. From Dragon's Head we traveled back to the main trail via a West facing gully that used to be part of the Sierra Clubs old, old route. Total miles 20. Total gain/loss about 7,000 feet. Number of people run into off the main trail... Zero.
