Ascent Trip ReportMy 12 yr old son and I went as far as we could go up Miner’s Canyon and then parked. From there, we scrambled up the ridge to the main backbone of the mountain and worked our way to the peak. Lots of rock, talus, brush, and anything else that can make this hike challenging. I was hoping to make it to the peak in less than 4 hours but it ended up being around 4.5 hours.
It was a hot day and even though we brought over 7 liters of fluids, we still ran low on water. Next time I’ll bring an extra 2 liters.
