Ascent Trip ReportMy 2nd trip to Dicks Peak, which I enjoyed very much two years ago. On the saddle below Dicks Peak met two climbers just descended the peak. I asked them about crux section, which was sandy and loose short chute, they confirmed that they descended this very chute, which is just in the beginning of accent. Recalling that it wasn't pleasant at all last time I climbed, opted to scramble class 3 rocks just on right side of the chute. It was really quick and nice scramble and more solid than it looks. The rest of the climb is pleasant easy scramble on top of the ridge.
No register on the summit, just four species butterflies and one friendly marmot. Proceeded to Jacks Peak. |
