Ascent Trip Report

Parked just off the Sunrise Highway at the Lucky 5 Ranch gate. Proceeded towards the peak initially along the CA Riding & Hiking Trail. About 100 yards after a large post (left side), we started cross country straight towards the peak. From the trail, it looks like heavy brush. There are sections of the hillside that had thick brush. However we easily avoided those, and stayed with the shin high or lower brush. Lots of use (game) trails just to traverse side to side. Summit has some large boulders which are easily climbed. We left a register atop the summit boulder; after signing it of course. Great views in every direction. We returned the same route of the ascent.
