Ascent Trip Report

Northern most mountain of the NH48, but not as difficult to get to as I anticipated. Hiked solo. Trail was VERY narrow during many sections with tall weeds on both sides. Ascent wasn't too difficult. Very remote mountain and due to the tall weeds and marshy land, banged my poles together during the first half of the morning to scare away any potential large animals that may have been hiding. Ran into few people during the day considering it was Forth of July weekend. The Bulge summit was uneventful, The Horn had a nice view, but was windy. The hike down was relentless and never-ending. Total hiking time was 07:30, 8:00am to 3:30pm.
