Ascent Trip Reportleft at 0900 from Kautz creek trailhead parking lot. got up to the peak at 1400. Was going to grab Iron mountain as well but bad weather rolled in. Complete cloud cover from 4500 feet up and snow fields from 5000 up. Ran into a black bear and her cubs as well right before the wonderland trail branching. It rained the entire time. Would recommend crampons and ice axe from final push to the summit, would have been handy. |
