Ascent Trip ReportThe trail to the saddle is easy to follow, as is the trail to Oak Glen Divide Trail. After that, the trail is vague and overgrown, but we didn't have any trouble finding it. There is a nice "garden" of Yerba Manta in bloom, which had several butterflies nectaring on the flowers. The use trail to the peak is marked by a duct; it, too, appears to be rarely used. The gnats were plentiful--broke out the bug net and wore it for almost the entire hike. Lots of wildflowers still blooming--Indian Paintbrushes, Monkey Flowers, Penstemons, Western Wall Flowers, Clarkias, etc. Low clouds abounded, but unfortunately, for us did not block the sun. Didn't find the register, but didn't look really look for it either. It was a warm day, so I just wanted to sit and rest.
