Ascent Trip ReportDrove from Cowpen to the Consasauga Lake Recreational Area. I chose not to park at Little Bald Parking like most do, and istead headed downhill and west to park on West Cowpen Road near the recreation area. I hiked down to elevation 3200 and made that my TH.The roads are all well maintained gravel you can drive 15 to 20 mph if you are careful. Hiked up and found the Tearbritches Tr. Uneventful hike with again, no views to speak of.
Then drove back down to the recreation area to hit Grassy Mountain next.
