Ascent Trip ReportThere was snow from the trailhead to the base of the route. We hiked with trail runners, microspikes, and hiking poles, which was a bit iffy on the harder snow in the morning but worked well enough. The snow softened up enough in the afternoon that we could plunge-step our way down, even in tennies. We took a straight line back to the cars, but at the base it was starting to melt out enough that this direct winter de-proach probably wont be in much longer.
