Ascent Trip Report

My second climb ever. Trying to exercise at >10k, and get to 11k, steep.

Took Discovery Trail from Schulman Grove parking lot to its highest point.

Then went towards Discovery Peak, through the saddle, and up again.

Passed the equipment tower with the three guy wires. Steep climb after that.

Stood on summit. Signed peak log book. Took pics and video. Relaxed.

Started descend towards NNE side, which is least steep according to map.

Well, at some point you have to turn right (away from road) or left (to road).

So left or straight W it was. Oh boy, that was steep. Lots of sliding down.

One moment of "I think I'm stuck and have to go back up a bit" in there.

But right after that it started to level out... slowly but surely. To the road!

Yay.

PS: Beat Dean. :-D
