Ascent Trip Report

I parked along the side of Highway 57 just east of the unused road that leads due south to the summit. The fences in this part of Texas are all 10 feet tall. I guess they really don't like county highpointers here. I waited for a lull in traffic and then climbed over the fence and moved as quickly away from the road as I could. There is a fence that splits one unused Road on the west side and a firebreak cow path on the left side. I stuck to the east side until I was right near the High Point. There is a good section that you can climb over right here. As I climbed over I could see the house. I made a beeline to the High Point, took my pictures, and went back over to the east side of the fence as quickly as I could. I then made my way back down to the highway and hid in the bushes until I didn't hear anything so that I could climb back over the fence and walk back along the road the short distance to my car.
