Ascent Trip Report

Well, there are the standard HPS routes and then there is the way the I went. It was a really great hike. The first 8+ miles are on trail, followed by a pretty open, nice, but steep ascent to the main ridge, then a wonderful stroll along the summit ridge! The descent was steep - glad I didn't ascend that way! Plenty of hikers on the PCT. Didn't see a soul once I left the trail... I started where the PCT crosses the road thinking it would veer away from the road more quickly. I should have parked about half a mile further east. Pics
