Ascent Trip Report

After climbing Mount Elbert the day before, we grabbed the boys and went to Buena Vista to find a site to practice rapelling, rock climbing, and bouldering. After that we found a nearby outcropping of weathered peaks perfect for scrambling and set out to find the summits. This short trip was fun as it had no trails and we just set out for fun scrambling and exposed scambling routes. I ran into a Juniper branch and cut my ear wide open. At the summit we were swarmed with some sort of midge like insect that engulfed us in clouds.

Views were pretty good for a half day scramble. Nate of course, found place to show off his scrambling-bouldering that made me happy he was someone else's kid (in case he fell)
