Ascent Trip Report

Parked along Barker Way in R/W and hiked down to the intersection of Barker and Boulder Lake Av. so to have an easy spot to start my starting elevation. This spot is around elevation 720. I made that my TH and then walked back up the public access TH well signed to the west. I took the circuitous route to the east and north along the wide clay-rock maintenance roadway so that I could pass Peak 1199. On the way to Cowles. On the way up, one finds the easy access trail to the small subpeak USGS elevation peak but there is a fence encouraging you to not take the small trail to the top. The trail is still well used as it was the only place in the entire wild park area where I saw litter and trash.
