Ascent Trip Report

Possibly earliest hike/summit (in my early teens) as my family always drove to the top of peaks, but talked dad into hiking up instead of the cable car deal. Always a better view if you earn it. Not much of peakbagger trip but a definate must see formation - a granitic batholith sticking out of urbanized area is quite interesting including the confederate rock sculpture on the side of it. It is harder to rate heavily used tourist areas as high ascent qualities but as a tourist deal it is worth seeing.
