Ascent Trip Report

Absolutely beautiful road hike with alternating views through forests and meadows of the valleys on either side. Ran into a number of wild turkeys and a whole herd of deer.

Anyway, the important stuff. There are NO signs stating that access is restricted to the summit. There is one location where signs might have been at one time, but there is nothing posted there currently. The road is still snowed in at places making it impassible for a vehicle but still easy on foot. This all goes to say access is no longer restricted in any practical way or at least at this time of year I wouldn't be worried about encountering anyone up there.
