Ascent Trip Report

I came in from 89th Street on the old lane as described in other reports. There are two gates, neither signed. i tromped around a bit at the primary candidate HP and then went to the northern contour and out to 89th again and back to the car. I then moved to the Western candidate on the county line where I got a reading about 5-10 ft higher. This entire region sits in an area of oil and gas fields and there are old well heads and gas pipelines running through out the area. In fact an old capped well head is at the primary HP location marked on PB. Based on this I am not sure of how much the native soils have been moved so your guess is as good as any as to the true CoHP. watch out in the spring or summer, I picked two ticks off me during my short walk in the tall grass.
