Ascent Trip ReportParked at NY 332 327 and walked back past Swineside before battling the long heather on the south flank of Carrock Fell. Eventually picked up the path from Mosedale and after then there were tracks or fainter trails to follow most of the way. Glorious blue skies and a chill breeze, though some fair weather cloud developed during the day.
Went Round Knott - Miton Hill - High Pike (unfortunately views north and east were obscured by haze) - Hare Stones - Great Lingy Hill (met a guy undertaking a bird survey) - Little Lingy Hill - Great Sca Fell - Brae Fell - Little Sca Fell - Great Sca Fell - Knott - Little Calva - Great Calva (nice shape from the north) and then found an informal path through the heather on the east slopes of Great Calva before intercepting the Cumbrian Way. Less familiar views of Blencathra and Skiddaw.
13 miles (20k) and 3,200ft (970m) of ascent. 6hrs 15mins including stops.
