Ascent Trip Report

I used trail 3 and 6 within the State Park boundary to get over to the SE side of the state lands. This preserve meanders around inside and apparently outside the state park. The highest ground in the preserve designated areas is down near a private facility called Lake Charles West. I was able to come off the SE corner of trail 6 near the hairpin and get on a paved road and the fence was down along the road to jump back into the preserve lands. The highpoint is confusing -either along the paved road or the hill just inside the fence, or the farm land just inside the fence but I tagged all three not sure which was actually on nature preserve lands and not private. The hills are surprisingly nice for Indiana. Then off back to trail 6 and the rest of my day hiking.
