| Date: | Sunday, April 10, 2016 | Ascent Type: | Successful Summit Attained | Peak: | Mount Shuksan | Location: | USA-Washington | Elevation: | 9131 ft / 2783 m |
Ascent Trip ReportClimbed with Matt Lemke and Don Nguyen with my brother Josh turning back early from an old injury. We skinned up to Sulphide glacier the previous evening. Encountered isothermal snowpack by day and frozen solid at night and early morning. The summit pyramid remained frozen providing some unexpected sections of spicy Alpine II climbing. Weather was perfect and the view is possibly one of the best in the North Cascades. |
