Ascent Trip ReportThrough Trip and quick summit on way down from Signal Peak for views as was heading down to Pine Valley. Measure ascent from Col since total vertical on Signal measured previoulsy from TH. The only rememberable event on trip was the bushwhack to the top of it (we found no trails). Dissapointed that I made the guys stop to climb another subpeak and there were no views, we all stopped and rested by a large boulder. Then all of a sudden we started finding pocket change lost by some traveler at this same remote spot. The coins were all silver form the 30s and 40s the most recent being 1944. Buffalo nickels and mercury dimes. How cool? Someone stood at the same place 60 years ago but by the looks of things not since. We replaced the chance with coins from our era and dropped them in their place for others to find someday. |
