Ascent Trip Reportfollowed patrick bergeron's advice for starting point. it was mid-day on a friday and there were several locals out around their homes, they were friendly enough and waved back.
once you're on the jeep road you begin seeing the damage from the 2015 fire. i saw almost no green, other than a small patch of baby ferns growing back. the route i took would have been a bushwhack other than the fact that there were no more bushes, so i'm listing it as open country. i did end up with soot on my clothes/pack. there were no wide open views, mostly just views of more forest damage.
