Ascent Trip ReportYesterday's ridiculous winds had calmed down to only a light breeze today with no clouds in the sky. I parked at the RV lot at Pine Spring CG and took the Guadalupe Peak Tr up to the summit. Took about 2:15 to get to the top and 2 hours even to get back down. Quite a few people along the trail and on the summit but still managed a few solo shots at the summit marker. Signed the summit log and hung out for about 20 minutes before heading back down. Just an absolutely beautiful day to be up in the Guads! Couldn't have asked for better weather to tackle this one! |
