Ascent Trip Report

While the group waited for table to eat breakfast, I was yearning to get some steps in and see the sea from above. I saw the fortification from above the Isabel II downtown and thought it might be a nice hike up. I hiked down to the sea and found some steps near the water for my TH. The I walked briskly up through the downtown and up through a local neighborhood turning in many directions (there were no direct routes) and found the museum and old fortification walls. It was TUES and closed to be open on WED. I walked past the chain and touched the HP, looked over the wall by the cannon and saw the town and water below and then headed back in another direction. I walked past a 4 foot iguana in the street that did not flinch when I walked past him. I guess at that size you have no fear. Breakfast at small market downtown where they made wonderful breakfast sandwiches with homemade sausage.
