Ascent Trip ReportStarted at the Haines Canyon Ave. Trailhead. Hiked up Mount Lukens Road and came down the Haines Canyon Trail with Mike Maki. Both routes were easy to follow. The day was warm, but not too hot, and the views were still enjoyable even with hazy skies. There were lots of wildflowers in bloom. The green bark ceanothus with its purple flowers was all along the upper portions of the Haines Canyon Trail. We did encounter a large swarm of bees along Mount Lukens Road on the way up, but they did not bother us as we skirted by them. Glad to finally have this hike done. We did not find the register.
