Ascent Trip Report

Used previous trip reports. Gate was closed and "locked" with a twig, parked on main road & walked in. Old guard station practically destroyed & vandalized. After guardhouse, road to left was underwater, so we took road to right, eventually curving around to old dilapidated & vandalized park buildings. I believe the is the clearing mentioned in other trip reports. Wandered around attempting to find anything higher than anything else. Overgrown boardwalks found heading into the swamp, lots of splashing sounds out there, didn't see any gators, but they're there somewhere. This probably was a nice park before it was abandoned. About .8 miles each way, with some wandering in the shrubbery.
