Ascent Trip ReportThis peak is on Rayonier land and they have it gated at Lake Pleasant and just south of this peak where road 9000 crosses the E Fork Dickey Creek. Rayonier's current policies require a permit for all access. I bought a $35 dollar permit which I intend to use three times. From July 1 to December 31, this particular property requires a special permit that costs several hundred dollars.
I parked at the Dickey Creek gate and bicycled about a quarter mile to a gated spur on the left. I bicycled up the spur for another half mile but it was too steep for my bicycling pleasure so I left the bike and continued on foot. I probably should have kept pushing the bike because the road leveled out at about the 1.5 mark. After a mile of level, a spur climbed up through clearcuts to the summit.
