Ascent Trip ReportFirst trip of the season in my new home Seattle. Got a late start and took a wrong turn on some fire road, so was running behind schedule. I hiked up through some scrubby replanted clearcut, losing the trail a few times, but eventually made it into mature forest zone. Snowline was somewhere around 4500'inside the trees. Pitched tent ate some dinner and enjoyed the solitude. Sunday was sunny and warm, we packed up and walked along the snowfields skirting the ridge - pretty open along the top with a great view down into Margaret Lake. I recall finding a old rusted out dirt bike. Scrambled up to the South Peak and took in the view, basking in the sun. Headed down and glissaded along the hard packed snow till we hit the forest and the trail.
