Google maps will direct you right to the park. You can explore the entire park in just a few minutes. There is a loop trail that goes around the park if you want to go for a walk. Its kind of a pretty place. I wish I brought lunch with me so I could have eaten it in the park.
I lived in Florida for 5 years and thought I knew the state very well. Lakewood Park is a whole other animal. This is not the Florida people know. Alabama is right down the road and it feels more like Alabama farmland then Florida. The drive down from Montgomery was very interesting. |
