Ascent Trip ReportTook Ben on his first backpacking trip when he turned 14. Left from the desert using the Pino Trail and camped just below the ridge. We were forced to set the tent on the side of the mountain due to a sudden late afternoon thunderstorm. That turned out to be the most awkward night sleeping on a slope with our sleeping bags sliding down all night long. The second day we obtained the ridge line and summited and scrambled around several sub peaks along the ridge line.
