Ascent Trip ReportDay trip hike while on vacation in Maine at our Oak Lodge with kids. This is one of the two characteristic peaks seen in the Moosehead Lake region especially from the top of Mount Kineo that make up the Spencer Range. I wish I could say how we got to the TH, Russ Collette was using a local field guide of popular hikes in the Moosehead region and therefore I did not plan the trip this time.
Like many of the hikes in this area, nice woods but thick and some scrambling and exposed rock in places where the mountain is steep |
