Ascent Trip ReportMat took both dogs and was able to get them to the summit while Tanya and I scrambled up. Colonel was really scared, and even tough-lady Maya wasn't too happy either. Both were very anxious and glad to come down.
Saw my first snake for the year scooting off the trail, followed by a second one dangling from the claws of a large Red-Tailed Hawk flying above us.
Took a nice long loop hike through the park admiring all the colorful rock formations against the beautiful green grass. A very pleasant morning with a high wind keeping the temperature comfortable. |
