Ascent Trip Report

SNOW HIKE: DIRECT ROUTE UP RIDGELINE Freshly fallen 24 inches of dry powder made this a snowshoe hike. The traditional trail was buried in snow and uninteresting. We made a direct route up a ridgeline and through some meandering drainage shoots to intersect the PCT near the summit. Every hint of road or trail was completely buried and a finding of the peak was purely directional and due to memory. Very cold and snow began to fall again on the summit. Made lunch and coffee and then blasted down the ridgeline again running through virgin powder.
