Ascent Trip ReportA second trip up here in hopes of making the Desert Explorer pin (Sierra Club's Desert Peaks Section). This time via Caruthers Canyon. The road has deteriorated, but there was evidence an ATV had been up it (illegally) while I was out climbing the peak. Caruthers is harder than the Keystone side, but still a good route. Recent snow and ice made the final section more challenging than it might be when dry.
